, let's talk about the outcome. tim kaine makes it to the senate. president obama carried the state. there were questions about that before the election. what does this mean for bob mcdonald and the republicans in virginia? >> the next big race in virginia is next year. the governor's race trying to pick someone to succeed. and if you look just at last tuesday's results in virginia, you would think that the democrats are a lock. they won the u.s. senate seat. they won for president obama. romney lost in virginia. so that would imply that the republicans should nominate, they have two choices. nominate the very conservative tea party, the attorney general or nominate the more established conservative, bill bowling. last tuesday 's result they want to have a chancehey would nominate the more moderate guy. the tea party guy, he's got a lock on the nomination i think. he's the strong favorite right now. it's going to be a party convention that picks the nominee for the republicans and tends to be dominated by activists, the base people who are most enthusiastic. >> i'm sorry. >> but als
